Hi! This is Jack, One of the former Customer Service Representative with Citi Cards, As per the previous comments there is no harm in getting enrolled and cancelling the service but ensure that till the time you are not getting the rebate coupon and getting it encashed your status in the particular service needs to show as Enrolled. Anytime if you have not redeemed your rebates and cancelled your service you are not eligible for the rebates. Anyhow there is no harm in continuing the service as you are getting a hard copy of your credit bureau report upon enrollment of this service. At any point in time for more details do call up Cust. Care Center at 1-800-950-5114 or Cust. Care for Member Services at 1-866-279-9637.

My husband and I opended several Citi credit cards and got the $100.00 gift cards, we also have made about $1,600.00 off of Credit Protector and the $100.00 gas rebates. Open and close is the key. Don’t re-open within closing of three days. They just changed it to the DVD Players. I hope my family likes DVD players for X-Mas gifts. We LOVE CITI BANK!!!!!!!

Getting a debit card should not affect your credit rating at all.

Also Citi has many free checking offers, just do a search on this site for citibank.

not sure. I just enrolled over the phone. The application process takes about 7 days. How and when should I apply the debit card to get the miles? Also, if you dont intend to use the card (like me), say you want the “Basic checking” the monthly fee is only $3.50 (with no minimum balance required). The other’s start at $9.00 per month.
